How Deep the Father’s Love

God isn’t looking for followers, He is looking for family.

From the beginning of time, and before, God had it in His mind to have children.  In Gen 1:26 , Elohim, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.”  That’s King James english for “Let’s have kids!”

It was more than making followers, it was more than making companions, it was even more than making worshippers.  Our Father in heaven desired us to have His spiritual DNA that we would truly be an extension of His family.  We would never be God, but we could be sons and daughters with the Spirit of God in us.

We were created in His Love, by His Love and for His Love, with the goal of adoption into His family.  More than being created to give God love, we were created to receive God’s love.

There is always a risk when we have children.  The risk being that our children may not turn out to be perfect.  They may do some bad things.  In fact, the odds are that they will (since the Bible tells us that all will sin).

That happened to us.  Adam sinned and so did we.  But God’s love had a plan for that too.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life – John 3:16.

No matter where we turn, no matter what we do, the love of the Father is there for us to receive.

“I asked Jesus, ‘How much do you love me?’ And Jesus said, ‘This much.’ Then He stretched out His arms and died.”– Unknown

God loves us and died for us so that we would be more than forgiven… by faith, we could be His children.

He wanted to be our Father, and that could only happen if we had His “DNA” ,  His Presence in us, and that could only happen if we were pure and holy vessels, and that could only happen if we were washed in the Blood of Christ, and that could only happen if He sacrificed Himself to take away our sins.
